During the WFOA annual members meeting the Executive Director gave an update on the ongoing negotiation of the expired fishing and port access regime between the United States and Canada. Earlier this week an additional update was sent out highlighting a proposal from the Canadian representatives. A number of responses have come in outlining numerous Pros/Cons to a mid-season agreement. WFOA members have strong feelings on this matter. As part of a larger effort to modernize communication and increase access to meaningful engagement, the WFOA will be periodically sending out short surveys to gather opinions from members.
